Parenting Tips

Being a parent these days is both a struggle and a joy. All parents have the goal of doing what’s best for their children. To attain that goal, they seek parenting advice from family and friends, read books on the best parenting style, and even attend parent counseling from the professionals. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to parenting toddlers. Every case has a different set of principals and operations that are to be carried out in the process. The main purpose behind parenting still remains the child’s safety and well being which eventually makes the parents happy. Good parenting is about bringing out the very best in your children using techniques that teach them respect, responsibility and compassion. There are some basic but important parental tips of life while bringing up the kids.

1. Love your Child

Every Parent Loves their Child and tries how they can be better parents to their precious children. Try to everyday that you love, caring them, hugging and kissing them and how special they are but it should be in a limit.

2. Spend some time with your child.

Some Fathers has no time and always come in the night late when their children are already in bed. Make it a point to have at least one meal together as a family. Parents should be trying at least ten to fifteen minutes every evening, when the entire family will together or can also play some games five days a week together. Your Children need your attention and your time. Spend some time with them doing nice things like reading a book, taking a walk or playing a game. Bad children behavior is a result of the lack of attention, so spend some time with them.

3. Reward your children.

Every parent wants their children to be good mannered & will behave. And at the same time, Children also want to feel rewarded for all the good things they do. Children are very specific when it comes to do tasks or works. So, why not give them the choices to choose the tasks they want to do?.  Rewarding your children for their manners or any good thing is very important as the children will be motivated. if they     complete the assigned task, reward them accordingly by tracking the progress of the tasks.  There will be predefined list of tasks from which you can choose for your child or you can customize the tasks & reward your children. When they learn something new or when their behavior is appropriate, tell them how important that new thing was and how proud you are of them. But you also have to tell them that they should always keep trying to learn more and more.

4. Listen, Share and Learn.

Pay attention to your child's nonverbal language. Does the child look happy, sad, and afraid? Use simple acknowledgement responses that show you are listening. "I see. Oh. Uh-Huh. Hmmm."Always listen to their words. Sometimes they will ask complex questions that will surprise you. Take some time to discuss with them and try to give simple and meaningful answers.

5.  Avoid criticize your children.

Every child makes mistakes. We're all human beings...run more by emotions than logic, and therefore keep making mistakes every now and then. Nobody wants to make a mistake. They just happen. And we never criticize ourselves for them, no matter what blunder we may commit. But when child else makes a mistake, we jump out of our soul to criticize him. Criticize the behavior, not the child. Nobody likes self criticism. We are all alike … including Childs.

6.  Treat your child with respect.

The best way to get respectful treatment from your child is to treat him respectfully. Speak to him politely. Respect his opinion. Treat him politely. Children treat others the way their parents treat them. Relationship with your child is the foundation for her/him relationships with others. Pay attention when he is speaking to us.

7. Keeping them Active and Creative

Many claim that the children of this generation are only only active and creative when it comes to playing online games. Or that most of the time children sit inactively in front of the TV screen, and if they in that situation change from being inactive to active, then it is only to zap from watching TV to play video games instead. Of course there are many interactive educational video games, so game playing isn't always a negative activity. Educational Video Games and Online Games can be a great way to make children interested in learning new subjects. But you have to think of it as a metaphor: Your child is just like a clay pot that can be molded and shaped into something useful and productive or something non-productive. In this competitive world every child need to be very active and alert at every moment. We should include plenty of active time in each and every day. We should show there are lots of different ways to achieve our goal.

8. Healthy Eating Habits
Give them fruits instead of Burger, toffee Chocolate etc. If your children eat healthy foods right from a young age, then it is likely that the habit will continue till young. Food habits developed at a young age often stay on till later in life. If children get used to eating nutritious and healthy food right from a young age, they are more likely to eat well as adults too.
